Luxury residences and stunning examples of architecturally significant homes designed by renowned architects dot the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains in Beverly HIlls.  The iconic Trousdales Estates community was first developed in the 1950’s and is the paramount example of California mid-century modern design.  This new project on the boards is a replacement of an existing home with new construction.  The design was done in collaboration the iD Group. A development-design-build group based in Los Angeles.

Under construction

Currently under construction in Trousdale Estates in Beverly Hills is this custom home with private courtyard that is only accessibly after entry through your personal security gate. The home is a study in the juxtaposition of linear balanced with curves. A curved wall of six stone panels with an entry in the center greets you. A large, cantilevered awning with strong horizontal lines covers the opening. The near Brutalist-nature of the first impression of the home though is nothing like the open, bright, and airiness once you enter through the intricately designed iron gate. Attention to detail and luxury finishes are apparent in every corner of this home. The high-style design is only matched by the masterful flow of the floor plan, which continually moves you to the rear of the home. Walls of windows create a near seamless interaction between outside and in with stunning views of the outdoor living area. It is here you will find a sweeping lanai with plenty of room for dining and conversation while entertaining or simply relaxing pool side. The curved roof overhead mirrors both the curve of the pool, as well as echos the curve of the front entryway.
