Krueger Architects specializes in residential architecture for the construction of new homes, the restoration of historic and Mid-Century Modern homes, whole house renovations, and luxury multi-unit housing. Our commercial architecture focuses on high-end retail spaces and gourmet eateries. We are a full service firm that offers best-in-class design-build, we also take on special design-only projects for clients who already have a builder, and for our builder-owner clients, we provide best-in-class construction management services.
We serve the greater Los Angeles area, including the up-market communities of Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood Los Angeles, Century City, and West Hollywood; along with the coastal destinations of Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Rancho Palos Verdes, Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach. Our projects extend out to the desert of Palm Springs, Yucca Valley, and Palm Desert and back to the northern coastal cities of Santa Barbara and Montecito. Krueger Architects is led by Principal and Founder, Kurt Krueger. Kurt established the firm in 2012 with a focus on luxury residential, commercial, and historic renovation projects in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles.
Our firm quickly garnered a reputation for our finely crafted design skills, the superior quality of our design-build construction partnership, and our impeccable work ethic. We’ve since expanded to serve greater Southern California from the ocean to the mountains and the valley to the desert.
Whether your project is in one of the premier coastline locations, in-town, or the up-market communities, we cater to the requirements of designing and building in these areas. We have a track record of success on challenging sites and situations working with the various municipalities for approvals. We have extensive experience with design review boards and local planning commissions. Kurt’s expertise is invaluable as a member of the San Vicente Scenic Corridor Design Review Board. We also understand the unique requirements of working on historic homes and architecturally significant homes and working with entities like the Cultural Heritage Commission, Local Historic Districts, and Historic Preservation Overlay Zones (HPOV).
Before starting his own firm, Kurt worked at the ARYA Group, Inc. based in Los Angeles on some of the firm’s most exclusive and high-profile projects. Prior to this, Kurt worked for the prestigious architecture firm of Marmol Radziner & Associates. Before relocating to Los Angeles, Kurt was at the award-winning Rockhill and Associates firm in Lawrence, Kansas. Kurt interned for the well-known firm of Frank Harmon Architect in Raleigh, North Carolina while finishing up his degree at Kansas State University.

I take my coffee black and as strong as you can make it. I think I got into the habit of no-frills coffee while in college and the habit has stuck. A cup of coffee in my hand and I’m typically out the door for a jobsite visit, to meet with the city, or to the office to meet with clients.
On our time off, my wife and I go exploring the Southwest United States, including Southern California, in our RV. Complete with our mobile office and our dogs, we’re ready to explore the small communities, dynamic people, and architectural-significant buildings and homes of this region. I often write about our travels in the blog.
We’re active travelers. I want to discover new things, learn history, and explore. This is my opportunity to recharge and be inspired while learning more about this beautiful part of our country. I encourage everyone to hit the open road and see the great outdoors! You’ll learn a lot about yourself in the process.
Get to Know Dexter
Dexter is a self-declared coffee fanatic. He makes his own coffee at home and likes to experiment with different types and methods of brewing. A nature lover, who likes the mountains more than the ocean, you’ll find Dexter hiking at Griffith park–his go-to trail. He considers the best time of the day, happy hour. He dreams of having his own brewery.
On Dexter’s Travel Bucket List is to go see the Aurora Borealis; backpack Europe for several months; and eat, love, and pray thru south east Asian countries. Dexter would like to ultimately retire on his own cocoa plantation and enjoy creating chocolates from his own cocoa bean harvest. Dexter has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Far Eastern University, in Manila, Philippines.
Get to Know Amanda
Amanda begins her day with a cappuccino, which she either makes at home or occasionally treats herself to at a local coffee shop. In her free time, she enjoys biking on the Strand, relaxing at the beach, and exploring the diverse neighborhoods of LA.
Amanda is a native of the South Bay and has been interested in architecture from a young age. While pursuing her Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, she spent a year living in Florence. Here, she studied Classical, Renaissance, and Contemporary architecture and art. To have the opportunity to reacquaint herself and travel back to so many historic cities throughout Europe Is on Amanda’s Travel Bucket List.
Get to Know Abtin
Vanilla Latte is Abtin’s favorite coffee. He either makes it at home using his Nespresso coffee machine or takes it at coffee shops. Besides coffee, pomegranate juice is another of Abtin’s favorite beverage. Abtin enjoys visiting art exhibitions, galleries, and museums, He’s enamored with interaction design and kinetic installations. Moreover, he enjoys spending time with family including his Golden British Long-hair cat.
Egypt & Japan are must visits for for Abtin due to their rich cultures. Abtin is also intrigued by the exhilarating idea of traveling to space. More terrestrially, Abtins says he could revisit San Francisco over and over again due to its vivid and vibrant ambience. Abtin received his bachelor’s degree in architecture in Tehran, his first master’s (M.Arh) in Sydney, Australia, and his second and post-professional master’s – M.S.AUD – in Los Angeles from UCLA. Abtin is an associate/graduate member of both the American and Australian Institutes of Architects, AIA.
Get to Know Violet
Bold flavor and a robust aroma from speciality blends in small batches makes for the perfect start to Violet’s day. Her current favorite drink of choice is Vanilla Nut by Don Francisco.
Violet’s travel plans have her seeing the world and experiencing as many countries as she can in her lifetime. She loves exploring Southern California and the Southwest in her RV with her four dogs in toe. Violet studied in her home country of Singapore and has more than 15 years of experience working directly with quarries, stone masons, and timber factories around the world securing and customizing for client’s projects. She joined Krueger Architects in 2019.
The build team is headed by Reza Parnian, owner of Rhino Construction. Kurt and Reza’s long-time working relationship is built on trust, respect, and collaboration. The partnership with Reza and team allows Krueger Architects to provide full service, design-build to our clients. Rhino Construction is the general contractor when clients work with Krueger Architects for design-build. The team at Rhino represents the best experts in the building trades in Southern California with the core construction team leads having been with Rhino for over a decade and counting.
